There is an off-street car park at 200 metres distance from The Old Court House which is not expensive. We recommend that guests come to the Old Court House first to leave their luggage.

We do not offer breakfast as there are very good facilities within 50 metres of The Old Court House. We recommend The Priory Coffee House which is open every day and we suggest that you book direct, calling Shirley on 01989 562 217. We also recommend The King’s Head by booking direct on 01989 763 174.

We are generally unable to cater for pets as we would like to: if you have a pet please telephone us on 01989 76 22 75 before booking and we will see if there can be a plan.

Babies and the very young

These special guests are as welcome as their parents and guardians: we have a highchair for feeding your young one. We also have a cot: please phone us on 01989 76 22 75 before booking so that we plan to meet your expectations.

The disabled are as welcome as every other guest: please bear in mind that the House is very old and on four floors with steep stairs; the House is on a hillside, so the front door is at street level; the Reception is on the first floor and the double and single rooms are on the second floor. The family room is on the third floor. There are bannisters and carpeted stairs. There are no dedicated car spaces close by.

There is a large and memorable garden and which guests are welcome to enjoy at their own risk (bit rocky and uneven lawn areas) overlooking the town and the Wye Valley across to the Brecon Beacons in Wales. There are areas where you can sit out and enjoy the clement weather.
